NORWALK, Conn. – The defending champion Aces advanced to the championship round of the Norwalk Recreation and Parks East Division playoffs Tuesday by defeating Smitty’s Softball, 17-2, in the winners’ bracket final at Calf Pasture Beach. 

The Aces will play for the championship Monday against the winner of Smitty’s Softball and Marinello’s Pizzeria. Marinello’s advanced to the losers’ bracket final with a victory over the Gators and East Coast Irrigation. Smitty's needs to defeat The Aces twice to win the championship.

In the West Division, T. Green Carting advanced to the championship round by defeating Vitti Landscape in the winners’ bracket final. Vitti will play K-Star in the losers’ bracket final. K-Star stayed live with wins over the Bulldogs and Cougars in losers’ bracket games Tuesday.

The Wood Bat League championship game scheduled for Wednesday has been postponed to Friday due to rain. Bill & Tony’s Power Club has advanced to the championship round. Lajoie’s Auto Parts plays the Gators at 6 p.m. in the losers bracket semifinals. The winner meets Davinci Pizza in the losers’ bracket final at 7 p.m.

The Rebecca DiPanni Coed Bocce League game scheduled for Wednesday has been postponed until Thursday.
