NORWALK, Conn. – A Norwalk state lawmaker plans to make herself available to the public before the start of the legislative session to get input from constituents. 

State Rep. Gail Lavielle (R-143) will hold office hours Tuesday, Jan. 31, and asks residents to stop by if they have any questions or concerns regarding state government and the services it provides.

"With the 2012 session starting shortly, it is of the utmost importance to get feedback from my constituents on what matters to them," Lavielle said in a statement. "Everyone should know that they can and should be part of the legislative process, and office hours are a great way to start the conversation and get involved."

She will be at Village Bagels, 415 Westport Ave., from 7:30 to 9 a.m.

"I am looking forward to hearing from and sharing with area residents," Lavielle said. "Listening to constituents' concerns and ideas helps me represent our communities effectively."

Lavielle will continue her work on the appropriations, education and transportation committees.
