A security guard at the Norwalk passport office on Washington Street noticed something unusual Wednesday morning: A man with a large bulge in his pants came for a passport.

Korry Golding, 43, of Farmington, was arrested and charged with illegal possession near a school. Bond was set at $100.

The security guard, a Lt. Nickerson, took several bags of drugs from Golding's bulging pants, according to police. The bags contained tobacco mixed with marijuana, which Golding allegedly admitted possessing to when he was arrested.

Also on the police blotter:

• A man allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend's house and attacked her new boyfriend Wednesday morning in front of her 2-year-old child, leaving the victim with bite marks and bruises. Mario Chirinos, 24, of 20 Kossuth Ave. and 44 Woodward Ave., was arrested and charged with burglary, criminal mischief, assault and injury/risk/impairing morals. Bond was set at $10,000.

Chirinos allegedly broke a back window and forced his way in, punching the victim and the girlfriend. The 21-year-old victim had bite marks on his upper chest and on a finger, and bruises on his back and hands.

• Police who went to arrest a woman on an outstanding warrant also nabbed the woman's accomplice and an alleged drug dealer after a cloud of marijuana smoke allegedly billowed out the car they were sitting in. Shaquana Ragin, 20, of 2 Carlson Court, and Gary Guytan, 23, of Stratford, were each charged with larceny and illegal use of a credit card. Bond for each was set at $5,000.

Quentin Arnold, 27, of 3 Norton Ave., was charged with possession of a controlled substance (less than 4 ounces of marijuana) and illegal manufacture, prescription, distribution and sale. Bond was set at $20,000.

The three were sitting in a 2001 Chevy Prism, parked in the driveway at 2 Carlson Court. Officers said they were unable to see inside the car because of the "smog." Officers say they saw a roach in the ashtray. When they opened the door, they saw a green leafy item in a stuffed bag, later confirmed to be marijuana. Officers found two more stuffed bags under the front passenger seat. Arnold, who had been sitting in the rear passenger seat, signed a sworn statement saying that the 2½ ounces of marijuana was his.
