NORWALK, Conn. – What about crime in Norwalk?
Nine Common Council at large candidates answered that question Thursday night in a debate sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Norwalk, the Norwalk Branch of the NAACP, the Coalition of Norwalk Neighborhood Associations, The Norwalk Education Foundation and The REd APPLES.
Moderator Charlotte Garrell of Fairfield asked, "What will you do about violent crime in South Norwalk?"
Republicans Doug Hempstead and Fred Bondi and Democrats Anna Duleep and Warren Pena answer the question in the video above.
The question was asked by an audience member at the debate. About 70 people attended. Most were "politicos," Lisa Brinton Thomson of REd APPLES said.

Tim T: Is Hempstead that much of a threat to you that you cannot simply counter your point in an intelligent, civil, and convincing manner? The extreme negativism you exhibit here smacks of partisan politics to the unaffiliated voter and does little to champion your argument.
