The playground behind the Stepping Stones Museum for Children was pretty much vacant last week. But it was a different story Monday, the first day of spring break. Children swarmed the playground -- Devon's Place -- going down the slide over and over, circling the labyrinth and crossing over the little bridge that separates one area from another or climbing the hill to the parking lot.

Emmaneul Yescas, 9, and his sister, Chantel Yescas, 15, spent much time entangled on a swing after she fell out the back, entertaining their mother. Elizabeth Scott, 6, posed for a portrait at the top of the slide.

Many of the parents were from Norwalk, but one mother brought her children from Westchester County to visit the museum first and then hit the playground.

Were your kids out of school? What did they do?
