SYSF is Shrewsbury's only private, non-profit human services agency and primary provider of social services for low income residents, founded in 1983. Over the last two years SYFS has assisted over 2,000 client families, involving over 10,000 hours of service. Nobody is ever denied services based on their ability to pay. 40% - 45% of SYFS's annual budget is maintained by fundraising efforts.
