Benjamin Franklin DeMolay's members, advisors and familes would like to wish the people of Grafton a Happy Holiday season! Thanks for the support you've given us since we got into town! We look forward to a productive and exciting 2012!
Thank you to everyone in town and around the world who have taken a moment each day to support the newest DeMolay chapter in Massachusetts. The families and boys of the chapter truly appreciate your support and voting! Please continue to vote through January 15, 2012!
My son is a member of Rumford Chapter in Concord NH and I cannot say how much good DeMolay has done for him and I am so thankful he's had the opportunity to be part of it. Groups like this help keep our boys involved in worth while activities that give back to the community and give them a sense of pride. His chapter does a lot of fundraising and the boys do all the work with help from the advisors. They volunteer at the nursing home, help with child ID programs, serve dinners at the senior center, usher town programs, help at the hospital plus more. We need to support groups like this that support young men in a positive way. I'm glad new chapters are opening, good luck with yours!

In one sentence I'll help you understand that DeMolay helps kids survive their surroundings and sometimes horrific home life long enough to serve their country! It was started for the sole reason that hundreds of boys lost their dads in World War I. http://www.demolay.org/aboutdemolay/history.php
Thanks for the inquiry!
I've never heard of this group before. How did they move up the voting chain so rapidly? What kinds of things has this group done in Grafton? I have a 16 year old nephew I'd like to see get involved with this group if I knew what it was. How can someone join?
How did they move up in the vote so fast?
Thanks for asking about your nephew being able to join. One of the reasons we decided to participate in this contest was to help gain some public exposure throughout Grafton. DeMolay is the largest non-profit youth organization in the world. We provide a safe environment for boys ages 12 to 21 to learn how to be a better citizen and man. They are in charge of their own chapters and decide on what events to hold and how to help out their community. DeMolay International is a global organization but each jurisdiction and chapter within them are responsible for raising their own funds. The funds they raise are used to provide for activities and events for the boys. They provide civic, masonic and fundraising support around the town and across the state. They recently provided 10 hours of community service to the Grafton Celebrates the Holidays celebration and Rec Dept Turkey Hunt last month. Greetings from Knights of the Sun in Auburn, Maine. DeMolay is doing a great job for our young men!
DeMolay is one of the most charitable organizations in the World! Thousands of kids every year wouldn't be able to attend college without their scholarships, hundreds of other kids wouldn't be able to get the care they deserve without their charitable donations to the Shriners Burn Hospitals! Please do your homework!
Good Luck DeMolay. I am a Mason at Joel H Prouty Lodge in Auburn and belong to Melha Shrine in Springfield, MA.
